The other night, I had occasion to talk over the subject with a Lebanese-born Muslim.

He (let's call him Sam) is totally convinced that the Jews are responsible for pretty much everything that has gone wrong in the Muslim world. Muslims are seemingly infallible; the ultimate victims, over and over again, of Jewish duplicity.

It was in this context that we got on to the subject of suicide bombing. He attempted to appeal to my sense of vengeance. If my family was killed by an Israeli airstrike, wouldn't I want to go strap a bomb to my chest and kill some Jews?

I answered that I wouldn't; that I would know that - as horrible as the tragedy would be - at least the Israelis did not target my family deliberately. The only side in the Israeli/Muslim conflict who has - repeatedly - shown the willingness (eagerness?) to kill civilians is the Muslim one.

He replied that I was a coward. I responded that I thought suicide bombing cowardly. He challenged me to explain why, and I have to admit, I momentarily hit a blank.

I think that it is ultimately a cultural difference; the west is a culture which admires the warrior who goes into battle knowing that he might die, but overcoming his fear and marching off anyhow. Where, I wonder, is the bravery in accepting that you are going to die regardless and, later that day, be in bed with 70-odd virgins? If you know you are going to die you have nothing to lose and everything to gain (in the Islamic, virgin-obsessed thought process) so you really aren't risking anything. The westerner values his life and goes into battle despite this. That takes courage.

While the westerner requires more courage to do what he does, it still didn't explain to Sam why suicide bombers are cowardly. Happily, I managed to get to the heart of the issue before he stalked off under a dark cloud.

Suicide bombing is cowardly, I said, because it deprives your enemy of the ability to fight back. It takes from them the opportunity to best you, to defeat you and thus gain victory. This is a uniquely western point of view, I realise, but I feel it a far nobler thing than the point of view which totally overlooks it. The west has a tradition of chivalry, one which is ingrained in us from childhood. We seldom hate our enemies, and often admire them, especially when they have displayed exceptional levels of honour (Saladin and Rommel's Afrika Corps come to mind swiftly). The idea that we would attack them in a way that leaves them no opportunity to at least attempt a defense is abhorrent. Unworthy.

That is what suicide bombers do. They deprive their enemies of the right to self-defense and thus totally remove any shred of adversarial contest from the engagement. It is an act of purest malice; of hatred for the Jew/westerner, and is a callous dismissal of even the most basic aspects of martial honour.

It's all just the usual fare from Muslims in the UK, warning about the effect that "racist" anti-Muslim policies are having and then issuing a thinly-veiled threat that this will drive otherwise totally peaceful Muslim folk to go butcher thousands of the infidel pigs.

But at the same time, she said, "there is this hostility" which comes "mainly from the Government".

I love that! The massive support Islamic terrorists enjoy amid the greater Muslim population justified retrospectively! "Oh, sure, we moderates love Osama bin Laden and his work, but only because you infidel scum have driven us to it!"

How, exactly, have Muslims in Britain been "driven" to anything? What has been done to them? Racial profiling (a necessity forced upon the west by terrorists who are - again and again - from the middle east) has not even begun. There are no internment camps for the thousands of illegal Muslim immigrants in the UK. No-one is making a move to expel them. They aren't excluded - in any way, shape or form - from daily life, experience virtually no intimidation or harassment (think to yourself - "when was the last time I saw a Muslim being harassed?" Never, in my case) and are treated (unlike the way in which they treat non-Muslims in their own countries) as equals.

This statement is nothing less than a hindsight justification of ruthless murderers who use tired, meaningless leftist rhetoric to excuse the butchery of innocents.

This silly Muslim bitch ought to be stripped of her title and sent to live in a real Muslim country on a fact-finding mission. Let her discover her true Islamicness somewhere where her highest aspiration will be to clean the backside of some filthy Mujahedin.

Colour me shocked. Malaysia is going to be an Islamic state:

A statement from the captors before the men were freed had said the two journalists had to choose either Islam, a tax imposed on non-Muslims to be paid to a Muslim ruler, or war. “They chose Islam and that is a gift God gives those whom he chooses,” the statement said.

The tax is the Jizya, a tax historically imposed on the Dhimmi (non-Muslim second class citizens within Muslim society).

Bear in mind - this fact is only seeing light of day because it happened to two journalists. Had it happened to anyone else (as it has, innumerable times) it would have been tactfully ignored by our Islamo-friendly media.

Update: Hilarious! Even in the face of this direct attempted enslavement of their journalistic peers, the MSM is ignoring the Jizya/Dhimmi aspect of the story!

Don't get excited over the Denver Post or the Toronto Star articles - they don't feature the Jizya aspect, they simply have seperate sidebar blurbs featuring the word "tax".

Most lawyers aren't, but I'm starting to worry for Mr Lefty. He is saying silly things, presumably in the vain hope that a now thoroughly exposed Islamist fraud can be redeemed, albeit in a slightly 'honed' form.

I am, of course, talking about Zombie's most excellent exposure of the Lebanese/Hizbullah ambulance fraud. The story alledged that the murderous, bloodthirsty Jews had deliberately targeted a red cross ambulance. Not just the ambulance, but the red cross atop the cross, in a seemingly overt display of homicidal anti-Christian sentiment.

It was a clever piece of perception management - or, at least, would have been - had it not been such an obvious hoax.

Clarification: By that, I mean it was obvious to bloggers. The MSM, ever eager to print anything that is roughly aligned with their perverse world view, ran it immediately.

Unfortunately for them, a Zombie was on the case. (Oh, how I have waited for an excuse to use that line!)

Mr Lefty, being an ardent analyst of right-wing authorship, leapt awkwardly into some twitchy kind of uncertainty position, manifested through a lengthy post on his blog. But he did make sure to insert the compulsory tone of dismissal (he was reviewing a right-winger, after all) based, strangely, upon nothing.

His method of dismissal? Zombie didn't consider all the possibilities, you see. He hadn't ruled out the chance that the missile had come close to the ambulance before detonating, but didn't actually strike it. Thus does Mr Lefty seek to explain the large dent in the roof and the hole where the ventilation cap used to be.

Only, Mr Lefty didn't consider all the possibilities himself. If indeed this was the result of a near-miss detonation (from above; it is the only way that the dent is explained) then there would be something else present on the roof of that van. Something that is not there.

When any weapon of significant explosive yield is airburst-detonated above its target, it produces shrapnel. A lethal storm of white-hot hail which peppers everything below the blast area.

Take another look at the roof of the ambulance. Scroll down on Zombie's article to the line which reads "Both of these pictures were taken within a week of July 23". Once you have found it, closely examine the photographs you see beneath.

Sure, there are lots of holes in the roof of the ambulance which might have been made by shrapnel of some kind. But shrapnel from when? Was the Israeli/Hizbullah war waged more than a year ago? I dare you to find a single shrapnel hole(?) which is not heavily corroded.

This ambulance was clearly damaged a long time ago, and probably left in a dump to rust until enterprising Hizbullah PR people came up with an idea to fool gullible leftist clowns who masquerade as "critics" of western policy but who are really just the Islamists' favourite useful idiots.

How stupid we were... how stupid they'll always be

I now officially join the ranks of those former supporters of the Iraqi War who openly and freely admit that the attempt to bring Democracy to Iraq has been a dismal failure.

I do, however, attach a few clarifications.

1) This war was fought against both Islamist infiltrators, Ba'athist loyalists and 50% of the population of the west (western liberals & Muslims living in the west whose sympathies were never unclear), who were goddamned determined to make sure that a war that was initially amazingly successful, would turn into a "quagmire" as fast as could be arranged. Theirs was a self-realising prediction, and they have been unequivocal in seeking to bring it about.

It was a war fought against lowlife democrat/labor politicians who sought to raise their personal profiles by saying the most detrimental things possible - and insuring a place within a sympathetic media. Together, these people gave heart to the Islamists, who saw hope so long as fully 50% of the people who populate the lands they call "Dar-al-Harb" (lands of war - lands yet to be conquered by Islam) shouted them encouragement and shouted against their own countryfolk.

2) This war could still be won - easily - if politicians were to simply insure that the requisite number of troops stayed put. That's a historical truism. But they won't, because if they support the war, politicians know that they will be attacked by the Islamist's allies within the western media and internet pundits (blogs like Daily Kos, who rejoiced regularly at the deaths of American troops). As the early period of the Roman Empire showed, if the force with the greater logistical and technological advantage equals those strengths in endurance, then the occupying force will inevitably win through. The Roman Empire only collapsed because they abandoned this principle. Politicians want to remain politicians. They can't do that with the press hating their guts. Thus, the war is lost. Through the weakness of our system and the treachery of our citizens, it is lost.

3) This was never, ever a war of exploitation, as lying organs of the Islamist and liberal propaganda have constantly attempted to portray. It was a highly idealistic attempt to bring democracy to a backwater region which - without its massive resources - would be a third world backwater (and is, in many regards, because of gross national mismanagement). Democracy does not belong to the west. It is an idea that all people should be able to choose their own destiny and play a real, tangible part in the governance of their nation. It controls the excesses of the state and tempers the ambitions of their national leaders.

But, as I now know, this was a mistake. It was a mistake because we believed too much in Iraqis, and because we believed too much in the humanity of the people of the region. We believed (naively) that they would welcome the fruits of liberty, the product of which took our ancestors thousands of years and oceans of blood to perfect.

Instead, they have rejected our gift and have proven, time and time and time and time again, that they are nothing more than a barbarous sub-species of humanity, unfit for even the most base levels of civilization. They are animals, pure and simple, and as they are animals, we should never again expect that they will be able to think as men or deal as men.

They want only to kill, rape, steal and destroy everything that does not pay homage to their wretched God.

I propose that not a dime more be spent nor a drop more of western blood be spilled in seeking to make tame the savages who populate the region. It is a phyrric exercise which we can ill afford to indulge in.

Let idealism be placed aside for now. We shall instead deal in the ruthless pragmatism of our subhuman enemies, and seek only advantage in our dealings with them. Better yet, should the opportunity present itself, we should take everything from them, and remove the blight of their existence from this planet.

They consider civilians legitimate targets, fine.

So should we.

For the Europeans and the UN, naturally. I have to say, this is perhaps the most blatant attempt to draw good news from thin air that I have yet seen from the fatally biased broadcaster:

A senior UN spokesman says it is now close to achieving firm promises of troops to make up the full peacekeeping force for southern Lebanon.

Edward Mortimer told the BBC that significant offers had been received from several Asian countries.

These are in addition to a commitment of up to 7,000 troops from European Union states.

The UN has agreed to deploy a force of 15,000 soldiers to maintain the ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Mr Mortimer said the UN was also hoping to get an offer of troops from Turkey, which he said would be very important given the country's history and geographical position.

So... they still haven't got enough troops, not even half of the number needed, BUT, they are on the very brink of recieving more assurances that some will be sent. Eventually.

Oh, and those countries who are most keen to position thousands of their troops on Israel's northern border are Muslim. But the BBC is sure that's merely a coincidence.

A majority of Britons are waking up to the threat posed to their way of life by the 'religion of peace', according to a new poll:

Most people in the UK feel threatened by Islam, a poll has revealed, after the Government launched a bid to tackle inter-faith tensions.

The YouGov survey for the Daily Telegraph found 53% were concerned about the impact of the religion - not just fundamentalist elements - up 21% from 2001.

There had also been a near doubling of the number agreeing that "a large proportion of British Muslims feel no sense of loyalty to this country and are prepared to condone or even carry out acts of terrorism".

A total of 18% backed the statement - compared with just one in 10 in the wake of the terrorist bombings in London last July.

And there was a seven point slump - to 16% - in those believing "practically all British Muslims are peaceful, law-abiding citizens who deplore terrorist acts as much as anyone else".

It would seem that common sense can be learned.

Of course, many will disagree with the idea that Islam itself is the enemy. People have been indoctrinated to believe that to condemn a religion is wrong, because all religions are "equal".

Think about that, though. Are all belief systems really more or less the same? They aren't, are they? Would you say that Buddhists resemble the brand of Christianity practiced by Jim Jones' suicidal 60's cult? Or that the Solar Temple is relatively on the same track as the Mormons? Or how about the Indian death-cult of Kali? Would their followers get along with Native American nature-worshippers?

They aren't even remotely comparable. So it doesn't logically follow that Islam will be as peaceful and tolerant a religion as Christianity. Sure, the latter burned people at the stake in the middle ages (and more recently, at Salem) but they also permitted the rise of all of the non-religious facets of western life we see around us every day. They don't agree with secularism, but they don't seek to exterminate them, either.

But don't take my word for all of this. See for yourself just how widespread support for violent terrorist action is amongst the Muslim population. I like to call this little experiment (which I have encouraged people to do before) the "real face of Islam" test.

The Real Face of Islam Experiment

Objective: To find out just how widespread support terrorists enjoy amongst the general Muslim community.

Find a Muslim who works in a store in your local neighbourhood. A store you can use on a fairly frequent basis without it seeming suspicious. Go in now and then when you know the same Muslim is working, and gradually become known to him/her.

Be friendly, but don't attempt to engage them in real conversation until around the 5th or 6th visit. Then introduce yourself, make smalltalk and leave. The next few visits, increase the length and depth of the conversation.

If possible, try to visit during times when the store is not filled with other customers.

When you feel the time is right, start talking about the Michael Moore documentary you saw last night, or the Robert Fisk article on the totally unjustified Israeli invasion of Lebanon you just read. Don't ask them questions, just express mild surprise that you had been hoodwinked into believing the Zionist mythology all of your life, and that the whole thing had opened your eyes. Don't seek a response. Just change the subject (smoothly) and then leave.

The next time you are in there, talk about general politics, and make a point to slam Howard for something unrelated to the war on terror. Then, toward the end of the conversation, ask them a question.

"Say, I don't suppose you know about ........, do you?"

Adjust the question to suit the person/circumstance, but make it non-specific. Make it seem as though you are this pig-ignorant westerner, seeking to be informed about the real state of the world by a wise Muslim. Hizbullah is a good topic, and asking them why it is that the EU declares them a terrorist organisation "when all they do is distribute food and aid in South Lebanon" is often a good way to get into the marrow of the issue.

I will say with confidence that 98% of Muslims will then proceed to (carefully) apologise for Hizbullah, but then tack on some kind of lukewarm clarification: "but I don't support their methods, of course" etc.

From there, you are to be the radical, desperately seeking the knowledge that only that Muslim can provide. Talk about the news, and always give a viciously leftwards slant on what you've seen. Mention Michael Moore often, talk about his courage and so on.

VERY IMPORTANT: Conspiracy theories, especially those involving the Jews, are great tools to gain the trust of the Muslim. I have yet to meet a Muslim who honestly did not have it in for the Jews - not Israelis in particular - just Jews in general. The one about the 4,000 Jews who didn't go into the WTC on the morning of 9/11 is always readily recognised and emphatically defended.

Save Osama bin Laden for a time in which you have truly gained their trust. You'll find that the Muslim reaction to you expressing support of ObL will fall into two groups.

The first will give unbridled, uncritical support. I would say these are about 70-80% of Muslims in general. The Americans had it coming, and he gave it to them like the sword of Allah.

The second will deny that ObL had anything to do with 9/11. It was all a Jewish/Neocon plot designed to justify the invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq. They still dig ObL, though, you'll find, because while he didn't do 9/11, he still has the 'guts' to stand up to the man.

If you meet a Muslim who condemns him, you'll be witnessing a lie. Look for closed body-language as the condemnation (always short and half-hearted) is delivered.

Remember, at all times you must seem more angry, and more rebellious than the Muslim him/herself, or they will shut down on you. You must convince them that you're as mad as hell, and you're not going to take the Jews' propaganda anymore. For tips as to how to sound like a fucktarded, biased, anti-American/Israeli, I suggest reading this asshole's blog.

You will be shocked by what you find. I guarantee it.

Pakistani couple killed over honour

FIVE people including a teenaged couple who married against their families' will have been killed by relatives in the latest incident of so-called honour killing in Pakistan, police said today.

Killings carried out in the name of a family's honour are common in Pakistan's conservative rural areas where old feudal and tribal traditions still hold sway.

The couple – Kamalan and Allah Rakhio – both 18 and from rival clans in the southern province of Sindh, had married about three months ago after eloping, said Usman Subaho, a police officer investigating the case.

The girl's family took her wedding as a slight on their honour.

The attackers stormed the couple's house early yesterday morning killing them and three other family members including a three-year-old girl, said Subaho.

Monday afternoon modernisation of Bangladesh suffered a major setback when Prime Minister Khaleda Zia announced that the highest degree awarded by the orthodox Qawami madrasa would be equated with the master's degree.

The ramifications of her announcement are so far reaching that many think it will forever change the intellectual superstructure of the Bangladesh society. In time, nothing will be the same as before, and everything will change be it economy, politics, culture, society, civil administration and law and order. And all this had been done with one tunnel vision -- to win votes in the upcoming elections.

Let a Muslim apologist try to explain to us how all cultures are of equal value now.

Of course, not all Bangladeshis agree with this. Exiled Bangladeshi author Taslima Nasreen has something to say about Islam and the future:

Universities in the Celtic fringe are being warned about Islamists taking advantage of fresher's fairs to recruit new members:

Welsh students warned against Islam extremists

Welsh students gearing up to go to university at the end of next month have been warned to be on their guard against Islamist extremists who may be using freshers' fairs for recruitment.

The warning has come from Welsh Liberal Democrat Education Spokesperson, Peter Black, and follows similar claims in the Times Higher Education Supplement last week. In the paper Shiraz Maher, a former member of the radical group Hizb ut-Tahrir warned that Universities are "bread-and-butter" recruiting grounds for extremist groups.

He particularly warned about freshers' fairs at the University College London, the School of Oriental and African Studies and the London School of Economics.

According to Mr. Black however, Welsh students going to other colleges need to beware as well. Of those alleged to have been involved in last week's foiled terrorist attack, at least one was a student.

"University life is both diverse and interesting and students have a bewildering collection of groups and societies that they can join," said Mr. Black. "All of that is part of the higher education experience and nobody should seek to take that away. However, both students and college authorities need to be alert to the danger of extremist groups taking advantage of this atmosphere to find new recruits."

The scary thing is, victimology is such a devoutly practiced mentality among the Celtic nations of the UK that Islamism will, for many ideologically confused youths, seem like a real, tangible option.

Train bombing plot surprises Germany

BERLIN - A Lebanese student suspected of planting a train bomb that failed to explode had contacts in Hamburg, authorities said Tuesday, the latest link to the northern port city where three of the Sept. 11 suicide pilots prepared for their attacks.

The planned attack here stunned Germans who thought the country's vehement opposition to the Iraq war would insulate it from becoming a terror target almost five years after the attacks on Washington and New York.

The main suspect, identified by authorities as 21-year-old Youssef Mohamad el Hajdib, was arrested Saturday in Kiel, about 30 miles north of Hamburg, on suspicion of placing one of two suitcase bombs in German trains on July 31.

On Tuesday, federal prosecutors said they had identified a second key suspect, while police searched his Cologne apartment as well as addresses in Kiel and Oberhausen.

ZDF television showed police leading away one man in handcuffs after one of the raids, and said another person had also been detained.

However, prosecutors said a suspected bomber, whose name they did not release, remains at large.

The Sueddeutsche Zeitung newspaper cited investigators as saying the men were suspected of having contact with the radical Islamic movement Hizb-ut-Tahrir.

Authorities are investigating ties between the suspects and the Muslim community in Hamburg, where Sept. 11 suicide pilots Mohamed Atta, Marwan al-Shehhi and Ziad Jarrah all lived undetected before moving to the United States to attend flight schools, said Manfred Murck, deputy head of the Hamburg state agency that tracks extremism.

"It seems like we do, once again, have some contacts to Hamburg, which is not really surprising," he said. "If somebody lives in Kiel and feels involved in the Islamist scene, it seems to be more or less plausible that he may have a friend or a mosque to visit in Hamburg."

Murck would not elaborate, saying only "we are working, of course, to find out what in our files can help us to identify possible contact persons."

German authorities were widely criticized for not picking up on the Sept. 11 plot, and stiffened counterterrorism laws in the wake of the attacks, though with police-state excesses of the country's Nazi past in mind, were wary of going too far.

While there have been other terrorism plots uncovered since Sept. 11, none has come so close to success.

"I have always said we are threatened by terrorism, and the threat has never been so near," Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble told ZDF television after el Hajdib's arrest, calling the case "unusually serious."

Where Germany before Sept. 11 was seen as a relatively comfortable base for terrorists to live and operate — but not a target — that is no longer the case, said Kai Hirschmann, deputy director of Essen's Institute for Terrorism Research and Security Policy.

They aren't "militants" when they are blowing up trains which AP staff might be riding on, you see.

Hizbullah responds to this by using UN posts as bases from which to launch yet more rockets.

I'm sorry, but unless your position is that Israel can never do anything militarily in response to overt military and terrorist aggression by their neighbours (in which case you also advocate the complete annihilation of Israel itself), the position of the left is completely unfathomable.

Rationally, from that point on, leftist support for Hizbullah and Hamas must be seen for what it is; unconditional partisan support for Israel's enemies, who seek to destroy the Jewish state and insodoing kill as many evil Jews as possible. It is a conscious decision which the left is making.

A major terror plot to kill hundreds of people by detonating explosives in the cabins of passenger aircraft over the Atlantic Ocean was disrupted overnight, the home secretary, John Reid, said today.

It is believed that the plan was to cause near simultaneous explosions on around three planes from the UK travelling to the US using explosives smuggled onboard inside hand luggage.

Police have arrested around 18 people in the London and Thames Valley areas. They are described as "British-born" and were held as part of an operation which has been ongoing for several months.

'British born...' what, exactly? No points for guessing.

If it were up to me, they'd be impaled and their corpses left to rot in the middle of George Galloway's little Islamic haven.

Nothing has changed since 9/11. Oh, well, there is one thing. The Islamist's chief allies (the western left) no longer look puzzled and ask "why?" when their pals attempt to murder a bunch of innocent people. Now they just point their finger at the people who fight against the Islamopaths. The murderer didn't do it. It was the guy who tried to stop the murderer. Leftist logic 101.

Because fighting back against naked aggression only upsets your antagonist further, you know. Much better just to "end the war now" as billboards in New York currently advocate, presumably by surrendering.

Iraqi raises questions on al-Zarqawi death

BAGHDAD, Iraq - U.S. officials have altered their account of the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, saying he was alive and partly conscious after bombs destroyed his hideout, and an Iraqi man raised fresh questions Saturday about the events surrounding the end of Iraq's most-wanted militant.

The man, who lived near the scene of the bombing, claimed in an interview with AP Television News to have seen U.S. soldiers beating an injured man resembling al-Zarqawi until blood flowed from the man's nose.

The Iraqi, identified as Mohammed Ahmed, claimed that residents put the man in an ambulance before U.S. forces arrived. The American military team then pulled the man from the ambulance and beat him, Ahmed said. He gave a similar account to The Washington Post.

No other witnesses have come forward to corroborate the account of a man resembling al-Zarqawi being beaten. U.S. officials have only said al-Zarqawi mumbled and tried to roll off a stretcher before dying.

Please note the self-contradiction in this story. The first paragraph states:

U.S. officials have altered their account of the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, saying he was alive and partly conscious...

And in the sixth paragraph, they state:

On Friday, the military said al-Zarqawi survived the dropping of two 500-pound bombs on his hideout.

How is that an "altered account"?

Surely the word "clarify" is more accurate than "alter". In both accounts, the man initially survived the bombing, then expired afterward.

Need I even bother addressing the question of whether US troops "beat" him or not? This is a man with a direct line to the al-Qaeda leadership. A man who might know where Osama bin Laden is. Even the most stupid PFC Grunt is going to know not to harm a hair on his head. No-one wants to go to Leavenworth, no matter how much they hate terrorists.

Now, as I said, I'm off to see AP about my scoop on Mr Lefty, the baby-devouring maniac from Melbourne. Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, Iraq's top terror leader, has been killed in a US air raid north of Baghdad, Iraq's new prime minister and a top American general say.

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Zarqawi was killed along with seven aides at around sunset in a house 50km north-east of Baghdad, in the volatile province of Diyala, just east of the provincial capital of Baquba.

"Al-Zarqawi was terminated," al-Maliki told a news conference, drawing loud applause from reporters in the hall where he made the announcement, flanked by US Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad and US General George Casey, the top US commander in Iraq.

Casey said Zarqawi's body had been identified and warned that Zarqawi's followers still posed a security threat to Iraq.

Al-Maliki said the air strike was the result of intelligence reports provided to Iraqi security forces by residents in the area, and US forces acted on the information.

"Those who disrupt the course of life, like al-Zarqawi, will have a tragic end," he said.

Khalilzad added: "the death of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi is a huge success for Iraq and the international war on terror."

Why hasn't the normally very 'nuanced' MSM decided to attempt to "root cause" the situation in Haditha?

Placing the question of the Marines' innocence or guilt aside, why hasn't one reporter done with Haditha what so many thousands of leftist commentators were so eager to do with the September 11 attacks?

Muslims kill thousands of innocent Americans = violent reaction to western oppression.

Marines off a few goatherders who may have been part-time militants = unjust massacre... with seemingly no historical or contextual basis.

Am I missing something here? Does the media think that there is no background whatsoever to the actions taken by western soldiers in Iraq? Does only al-Qaeda have the benefit of a historical grievance?

Or do they simply prefer it when loads of innocent westerners are murdered, as opposed to a handful of Arab peasants?

I'm not sure, but as they won't root cause this, I will.

If the Marines did indeed kill those people in Haditha, then it is solely the fault of the jihadists, who deliberately remain hidden in the cities of Iraq, within the civilian population, emerging quickly to make strikes and then retreating to cower behind old Arab men and women.

This course of action statistically dictates that wrongful civilian shootings must inevitably happen. It is the reason why, for centuries, western armies fought their battles in open, unpopulated areas.

As the modern western armies, given the choice, would still seek to fight battles away from innocent civilians, but cannot do so because their cowardly Muslim opponents prefer to hide under their grandmother's bed, the responsibility for all civilian deaths lies squarely with the jihadists.

The Marines in question are innocent until proven guilty.

This is a war in which terrorists - both male and female varieties - refrain from using uniforms and willingly use high population density areas to screen their movements and attacks.

They deliberately choose to do so because they know that western forces respect innocent life (unlike the terrorists themselves).

When you take this situation to the national level and add in young, hard-charging Marines whose enemies won't face them on the field of battle, you're going to have seriously homicidal glitches.

Anyone who expects differently is an ignorant simpleton who is blissfully (or willfully) unaware of the human condition. People kill people. Sometimes they kill the wrong people by design or accident.

The difference between us and our enemy is that we kill innocents by accident 99% of the time. They kill innocents by design 100% of the time.

A handful of innocent dead people is a tragedy, but so is a family dying from a drunk driver. Investigate the scene, punish those responsible and move on.

Yes, a very juvenile sounding title, I know. But, laid up sick in bed for the last few days, I've been able to mull the question of Muslim behaviour over more completely than usual. While I never thought Muslims to be paragons of intellectual virtue - as their religion tends to scorn and repudiate anything developed after the 8th century - I have reached the conclusion that when it comes to basic strategics, Muslims are a bit thick.

Their disinclination toward technology and general societal advancement aside, what is up with their brains? In order to have conclusively won the war against the west, I realised, they didn't need mastery of advanced weapons or military tactics.

All they needed to do was keep a low profile, maintain the viable image of a "victimised" people... and breed. Breed, breed breed and occasionally convert infidels. The latter is less important, but in the secularised cultural void which is Europe, it will only grow in importance over time.

Birth rates in western Europe are abyssmal. Immigrant birth rates are astronomical. It really is just a matter of mathematics and time before Muslims become the majority demographic in a number of European nations. Those non-Muslims who are left will act the way most Europeans really acted under Nazi occupation. They'll appease their conquerers and most will become Muslims themselves. The rest will try to flee to Australia and the USA, where they will (hopefully) be refused entry.

Before 9-11 and the proliferation of Islamic terrorism, this was inevitable. Muslims had seen the weakness of our society and were exploiting it efficiently. The downfall of Europe was going to happen, and nothing could stop it.

Why have Muslims turned away from this elegantly simple, magnificently successful approach? One only has to look at the massive demographic beach-heads they have established - peacefully - in Europe and the UK to see the success of this approach. By taking advantage of leftist stupidity in regard to immigration policies, they have seeded the future Eurabia in the barren soil of today's Europe.

Yet now, it seems, through their compulsive need for terrorism, they are pissing it all away. By making ceaseless attacks on the civilian populations of Israel and the West, they make it extremely difficult even for the most ardently anti-Semitic, anti-American or anti-western leftist to apologise for them. Occasionally, their attacks are so profoundly grevious (as in the case of 9-11) that they forever break the bonds of mutual interest that previously tethered their jihadist aims to the anti-Israeli, anti-American doggerel of individual leftards. Compounding their idiocy, they then deliberately attack leftist individuals and institutions (news organisations, the United Nations, etc) who are otherwise their ideological allies.

Insodoing, they alienate yet more people who, while not useful to them in any direct military sense, were certainly doing a bang up job of demoralising the citizenry of the west and impeding national efforts to prevent the Iranians from acquiring nuclear weapons. In Europe, mass lootings and car burnings on a national scale and the murder of artsy Europeans (Theo van Gogh, for example) force even the most willfully blind of European politicians to "rethink" their immigration policies, as is now happening in Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands.

Muslim terror attacks also accomplish one thing that one should never, ever do, if one wishes to achieve one's aims at a cost to the west. They rouse westerners from their near-perpetual state of apathy. That apathy was Islam's greatest ally in their conquest of the world, and should never, ever have been imperiled.

Why, I ask myself, don't Muslims see this? Terrorist and "moderate" alike, all Muslims are supposedly united in the devout hope that the Dar-al-Islam (lands of Islam) will someday overwhelm the Dar-al-Harb (lands of war - everywhere outside Islam). If this is so, why do the "moderate" Muslims - who news organisations assure us constitute the vast majority of the international Muslim population - not turn on the terrorists like a pack of wild animals? These terrorists are directly damaging the chances of them realising their aim of a global Islam within several generations. Their attacks make the west focus in on Islam and Muslims, and make us rethink the more stupidly liberal aspects of our society that Muslims had been busily taking advantage of for the last few decades.

In short, the terrorists make the idea of global Islam less likely. The terrorists, through their actions, actually end up aiding the west. For every hundred people they kill, a thousand more of us become implacable enemies of Islam. For every bomb they detonate in one of our trains or planes, we'll stop a hundred thousand more Muslims from immigrating to western nations. That's a hundred thousand people who could have peacefully preached the word of Mohammed to the infidel.

Terrorists are not the champions of Islam. They are the greatest single threat Muslims face to the realisation of their dreams. So long as Muslims support them, they are saying to the world: "We don't really care about bringing the word of God to unbelievers. We don't care about patiently, peacefully realising a global Islam. We are selfish, sociopathic people who want to dominate and to kill non-Muslims now, today, because to wait and work peacefully toward the goal we espouse would require more humility than any of us possess."

Since none of you Muslims seem to have studied your Sun Tzu, I'll give you a free piece of advice. Go back to doing what you were before. That way, you literally can't lose. So long as westerners loathe themselves most of all, you were safe and the world was yours for the taking.

Come the day westerners loathe you more - a day only made more and more likely by al Qaeda, Hezbollah, Hamas and lunatic presidents of Iran - you won't be around to regret your error.

Because when we westerners really lose our cool, we have a tendency toward genocide.

The ethical storm over abortions has been renewed as it emerged that terminations are being carried out for minor, treatable birth defects.

Late terminations have been performed in recent years because the babies had club feet, official figures show.

Other babies were destroyed because they had webbed fingers or extra digits.
Such defects can often be corrected with a simple operation or physiotherapy.

The revelation sparked fears that abortion is increasingly being used to satisfy couples' desire for the 'perfect' baby.

A leading doctor said people were right to be 'totally shocked' that abortions were being carried out for such conditions.

Campaigners warned we are turning into a society that can no longer tolerate imperfection. Doctors were recently told they can now screen IVF embryos to try to weed out inherited cancers.

Ethical groups fear parents are opting for abortions because they are not told of the support and help available if they continued with the pregnancy.

Details of the terminations emerged as new figures revealed an alarming rise in the use of an abortion pill that has been linked to 10 deaths.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics show that between 1996 and 2004, 20 babies were aborted after 20 weeks because they had a club foot.

It is one of the most common birth defects in Britain, affecting one in 1,000 babies each year. That means around 600 to 700 babies are born annually in the UK with the problem, which causes the feet to point downwards and in severe cases can cause a limp.

However it can be corrected without surgery using splints, plaster casts and boots. Naomi Davis, a leading paediatrician at Manchester Children's Hospital who specialists in correcting club feet, said: 'I think it is reasonable to be totally shocked that abortion is being offered for this.

'It is entirely treatable. I can only think it is lack of information.'

Figures also show that four babies were aborted since 1996 because they were found to have webbed fingers or extra digits, which can be sorted out with simply surgery.

Remarkable pictures recently have revealed how at just 23 weeks baby in the womb appears to smile, yawn and flinch in pain.

That would then make the parents and doctors involved in these terminations murderers, wouldn't it?

The Enlightenment happened at half past 12 a.m. in Burger King, Park Royal. I had ordered my food, and a French guy got talking to me and asked, “Are you Muslim?” He said, “Look at this,” and he showed me the cone. I saw it and I thought, “Wow,” like anyone would. He said, “Turn it around.”

I was thinking of my stomach. I was hungry. I would have loved to eat an ice cream. When I saw it, my mouth fell open. I dropped the ice cream. I canceled my order. That was the defining moment of my life.

The Burger King logo is there in Arabic. “Allah” is spelled exactly how it is there, and the Burger King logo is where the ominah should be. Why, there is no way it could be a coincidence. How can you say it is a spinning swirl? How does it spin on something that is static? You cannot spin it around unless you have a mechanical device. You spin it one direction, to the right, and it is offending a billion people.

I’m not talking about Muslims in the Park Royal vicinity, or in the U.K. I’m talking about globally. Everyone who sees this is going to be offended. If you put a different symbol on there, you’re offending Jews, Christians, Sikhs, or Hindus. I am going to try my best in life, so that these people do not operate in a single Muslim country again, so that we get an apology to every single Muslim on this planet in their language, in their country, on a national TV station: “Sorry. We, as an American company, are sorry. We didn’t mean to offend you.”

What angers me most is that most people, once they have finished with it, they look at it and say, “Nice cone. Nice design. Nice cone design.” They chuck it away. That is disrespectful. Don’t throw it away. Keep it as evidence. A reminder of what these people are doing every single day of our lives.

We showed this to Muslim customers in Burger King and they were disgusted. We went to the manager. “Is this true?” we asked. He said, “Yes, my brother. It is true.” I spoke to two other Pakistani Muslim guys there and they said, “We are sickened.” They were cussing Burger King.

I feel humiliated. I want to humiliate the person who did this to an extent that he never works again. I’m going to make him see that it was the biggest mistake in his life. I want to meet the guy. I want to ask the guy, “What does this mean to you?” then never see his face again.

In a way, I’m glad he did this to me. It has opened my eyes. The fear of God, the love of God, the love of not letting anyone disrespect God. Even though it means nothing to some people and may mean nothing to some Muslims in this country, this is my jihad. I’m not going to rest until I find the person who is responsible. I’m going to bring this country down.

Why am I not surprised that some ignorant wank of a Frenchman first 'noticed' the 'similarity'? Because there is no similarity whatsoever.

Anyone who knows anything about written Arabic can look at the BK Cones lid and see that there are some significant things missing from the squiggle that are kinda compulsory if one is to discern the world "Allah".

First of all is the Alif. There isn't one. See the image on the right? That first letter (first letter from the right, this is Arabic) that kinda looks like a capital "I"? You need to have that present in order to write Allah. It isn't in the BK Cones lid. There is a taller line at the beginning of the line of squiggles, but its joined. The Alif is a non-connecting letter.

Nor is there any Tashkeel, which is seen above and to the left of the Alif in the image on the right. There is NO Tashkeel in the BK Cones lid. Tashkeel is necessary so that one can know how to pronounce a particular letter in a given word. The first Tashkeel in the image on the right is a Kasra. There is subsequent Tashkeel to the left of this and none of it features on the BK Cone.

While it is possible for an accomplished Arabic reader to read without Tashkeel (many Arabic newspapers print in that fashion) it is extremely unlikely (to the point of impossibility) that some Islamophobic graphic designer strung this together in order to annoy Muslims.

The United Nations has confirmed that nine East Timorese policemen have been shot dead by troops in the capital, Dili.

In a statement issued from its New York headquarters, the UN says soldiers opened fire on the unarmed police yesterday, killing nine and wounding 27 others.

UN advisers had just negotiated a cease-fire after an hour-long attack by the troops on the national police headquarters in Dili.

One of the conditions of the cease-fire was getting the police to surrender their weapons.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric says UN personnel were able to rescue 62 East Timor police officers and they are now being sheltered in the United Nations compound.

The UN Security Council will meet in closed session to discuss the violence today.

The circumstances of the deaths are now the subject of an official protest to East Timor's Government.

Pockets of rebels are still holed up around Dili.

Meanwhile, UN chief Kofi Annan is sending a special envoy to East Timor to report to him directly as the situation unfolds.

Mr Annan says he is concerned about developments in the region and has spoken to leaders, including East Timor's President Xanana Gusmao, Malaysia's Abdullah Badawi and Australia's Prime Minister John Howard.

The UN doing more great work. Disarming everyone BUT the rampaging savages.

May 23 (Bloomberg) -- All seven people infected with bird flu in a cluster of Indonesian cases can be linked to other patients, according to disease trackers investigating possible human-to-human transmission of the H5N1 virus.

A team of international experts has been unable to find animals that might have infected the people, the World Health Organization said in a statement today. In one case, a 10-year- old boy who caught the virus from his aunt may have passed it to his father, the first time officials have seen evidence of a three-person chain of infection, an agency spokeswoman said. Six of the seven people have died.

Almost all of the 218 cases of H5N1 infections confirmed by the WHO since late 2003 can be traced to direct contact with sick or dead birds. Strong evidence of human-to-human transmission may prompt the global health agency to convene a panel of experts and consider raising the pandemic alert level, said Maria Cheng, an agency spokeswoman.

``Considering the evidence and the size of the cluster, it's a possibility,'' Cheng said in a telephone interview. ``It depends on what we're dealing with in Indonesia. It's an evolving situation.''

The 32-year-old father in the cluster of cases on the island of Sumatra was ``closely involved in caring for his son, and this contact is considered a possible source of infection,'' The WHO said in its statement. Three others, including the sole survivor in the group, spent a night in a ``small'' room with the boy's aunt, who later died and was buried before health officials could conduct tests for the H5N1 virus.

`Directly Linked'

``All confirmed cases in the cluster can be directly linked to close and prolonged exposure to a patient during a phase of severe illness,'' the WHO said.

While investigators have been unable to rule out human-to- human transmission in the Sumatran cluster, they continue to search for other explanations for how the infections arose, the WHO statement said.

Health experts are concerned that if H5N1 gains the ability to spread easily among people, it may set off a lethal global outbreak of flu. While some flu pandemics are relatively mild, the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic killed an estimated 50 million people worldwide.

"Shortbus," an explicit, largely improvised arthouse flick that includes a rendition of the American national anthem during a gay sex scene, is a direct provocation, director John Cameron Mitchell admitted.

"It's a little bit of a cri de coeur to us, a little bit of a call to arms" against the prevailing conservatism, he told a media conference, adding that his country was living in "the era of Bush, which is about clamping down, being scared."

The 43-year-old, whose previous work was "Hedwig and the Angry Inch," about a transsexual rock singer, said the film was his own small act of defiance against Bush.

"If you can't do elections you might as well do erections," he said.

Although the first half of the film is filled with sex, including orgies and masturbation, the act itself is not meant to be erotic but rather to challenge the audience and make it confront issues such as loneliness, the illusion of self-sufficiency and other seemingly unrelated problems, Mitchell said.

One scene likely to create controversy in the United States and some other countries shows a gay threesome in which one participant joyfully bellows "The Star Spangled Banner."

"If you did have such an occurrence, whether it was in Iran or elsewhere, it would certainly be despicable," US State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said in Washington. "I think it has clear echoes of Germany under Hitler."

The officials called Thursday's clash the most intense outbreak of violence at the jail for foreign terrorism suspects at the U.S. naval base at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, since it opened in January 2002.

Six prisoners were treated for "minor injuries" and none of the U.S. guards was seriously hurt after the fight pitting 10 inmates against 10 U.S. guards, the officials said. The fight ended only after guards blasted detainees five times with a 12 gauge shotgun shooting rubber balls and used a grenade launcher that shot a blunt rubber object, officials said.

While guards were putting down the fight, detainees in nearby cells began rioting, destroying cameras used to monitor them, fans, florescent lights and other property, officials said.

Risking a life term to protect a child

Matthew Ryan Hahn glared in disbelief at the digital photographs of a man molesting a girl. She was only a year old, maybe 2.

The next thing to do would be obvious -- call police. But Hahn had been convicted of burglary more than once. And the memory card on which he discovered the photos came from a stolen safe.

Hahn knew being nabbed for another crime could make him a three-striker and send him to prison for life. But the images were burned into his mind. One photo showed some freshly overturned earth -- could the little girl already have been killed and buried?

After a sleepless night, Hahn took the card, placed it inside a pink change purse and attached a typewritten note. It said: ``Please remove this animal from the streets.''

He wrapped the whole thing in a package that he jammed into a random mailbox. It was addressed to the Los Gatos Police Department.

A year later, Hahn, 26, is in Elmwood correctional facility. Housed in the next building over, in protective custody, is John ``Robbie'' Robertson Aitken. The 22-year-old with no previous criminal record is charged with molesting his infant goddaughter -- his boss's child.

ANKARA, Turkey - A gunman opened fire Wednesday in Turkey's highest administrative court, killing a prominent judge and wounding four others in an attack the suspect called retaliation for a ruling against a teacher who wore an Islamic head scarf.

Four of the justices, including Judge Mustafa Yucel Ozbilgin, who died of gunshot wounds to the head, had voted in February against the promotion of an elementary school teacher who wore an Islamic-style head scarf outside of work.

The judges' photos were published by the pro-Islamic Vakit newspaper.

The attacker, who was detained and was being interrogated by anti-terrorism police, shouted "I am the soldier of God!" before opening fire. He said the attack was to punish the judges for their decision, said Tansel Colasan, deputy head of the administrative court, the Council of State.

The head of the court chamber, Mustafa Birden, was wounded in the liver and spleen and underwent surgery, said Dr. Ugur Erdener, of Hacettepe University Hospital. A sixth judge escaped harm by throwing himself onto the floor, reports said.

Port Washington - Parents are angry and school leaders are promising action in response to a "Heterosexual Questionnaire," approved by two teachers, that asked students questions such as: "If you have never slept with someone of your same gender, then how do you know you wouldn't prefer it?"

Hundreds of Port Washington High School students were told to submit written answers and discuss the survey.

The questionnaire was distributed by a student organization, which then led a full class-period discussion. Two teachers approved distribution of the survey. The principal did not.

Parent Lisa Krier on Monday called for the two teachers to be disciplined, saying the survey was a form of sexual harassment by teachers against students.

"If somebody doesn't call them on it, it will continue," she said.

Both Principal Duane Woelfel and Patty Ruth, president of the Port Washington-Saukville School Board, said the survey was inappropriate and that proper authorization was not given before it was brought into classrooms.

Jonathan Wayne Goodrum, 19, and Kristina Louise Sawyer, 18, are charged with raping their 1-day-old girl before she was taken home from McKenzie Regional Hospital about six weeks ago, said McKenzie Police Lt. Tim Nanney.

While both parents have been charged, Sawyer's bond was reduced because police still are investigating what role, if any, she played in the possible rape of her child, Nanney said. She was charged because "I could not exclude her from being part of it, so I had to charge her also," he said. "I could not exclude her at the time from being a participant of it."

Nanney said hospital officials notified police of the possible rape after noticing injuries to the child's rear during a routine examination given before newborns are released from the hospital. "There were some skin tears in and around the private (back) area of the child," he said.

The investigation led to the child's parents, Nanney said, and there was no indication that any hospital worker was involved in the incident.

"Based on the investigation, we ruled out everyone but the mom and the dad," Nanney said.

Since the mother would (presumably) have been still in her hospital bed, I think it unlikely she was a participant (although these days, who the hell knows?).

But if the father raped his newborn daughter in the hospital, he should be burned at the stake. No gentle needles, no electric chair, just burn his sick ass.

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A campground at Natural Bridges National Monument has been closed because of bubonic plague detected among field mice and chipmunks.

Plague also has been found this spring in rodent populations at Mesa Verde National Park and Colorado National Monument.

National Park Service officials said there never has been a reported human case of bubonic plague originating from the parks or national monuments.

"We come down on the conservative side when it comes to closing campgrounds," said Joe Winkelmaier of the U.S. Public Health Service. "We just like to be sure when it comes to plague."

Gen. Alberto Muller, a senior adviser to Chavez, told The Associated Press he had recommended to the defense minister that Venezuela consider selling the 21 jets to another country.

Muller said he thought it was worthwhile to consider "the feasibility of a negotiation with Iran for the sale of those planes."

Even before the U.S. announced the ban on arms sales Monday, Washington had stopped selling Venezuela sensitive upgrades for the F- 16s.

CNN's Lara Logan is very easy on the eyes. But the lies she tells in the attempt to justify the lack of positive reporting from Iraq makes my stomach turn:

Basically, the gist of her argument is that Iraq is so unsafe that she is literally prevented from travelling to, say, a school opening, because unless you have an armed detail with you, you can't venture anywhere.

While I believe that Iraq is quite a dangerous place to have blonde hair right now, that hasn't stopped others reporting with vastly less resources than the news leviathan that is CNN. People like Michael Totten, who has recently traversed the Middle East (including some of the most dangerous and remote areas of Iraq) and North Africa, and Michael Yon, who has been bringing the good news back from Iraq since the beginning of the conflict.

Lara is solidly embedded in her hotel, has the bulk of her stories pieced together for her by local stringers whose allegiance is, to say the least, questionable, and only emerges to take pictures of people killed by suicide bombers. Here is the run of the battle so far, I'll let you judge whose argument has the most merit.

The gross, ongoing leftist lie which associates Nazism (a socialist/statist system whose ideology was primarily taken from Stalinism) is, in my opinion, the most disgusting political fraud of all time. If one wishes to see an example of conservatism in the WWII period, one only has to look at Churchill's Conservative Party. Good friends of the Nazis, were they?

* Corporate considerations over environment.
* Private sector economic growth programs over social security.

And so the list goes on. Now, to the supposed "far right wing", who should represent, if you are correct, a rigid hardening of these philosophies, in the same way as the moderate state control of a socialist nation becomes the absolute state control of a communist one (on the other side).

Far "right" wing:

* Obsessed with a totalitarian rejection of democracy (absolute state control with attendant big government).
* No limit on government control, including the ability to kill its own citizens (Jews, etc).
* Pro gun ownership.
* Anti-Christianity (it was founded by a Jew) pro Germanic pagan mysticism.
* Anti free markets, anti free trade, anti globalisation, pro-protectist.
* Devoutly anti-Israel (believes that Israel should be destroyed), solidly pro Palestinian/Arab.
* Anti affirmative action (for reasons of racial superiority - whites are superior, and should dominate the "mud" races").
* No environmental policies, but if they should follow the Nazi precedent, they would have to place the evironment over corporate interests.
* No known social security programs, but a belief in Zionist control over big corporations (ZOG). Again, if they follow Nazi precendent, they will favour social security programs, for the "Volk".

So... how do they compare?

Out of a possible 9 matches, we have...

1 clear ideological match - both are pro gun ownership, which is interestingly at odds with the original Nazi program of banning private gun ownership.

1 ideological similarity - rejection of affirmative action, but for demonstratably different reasons.

And that's it. In all other areas, they are the polaric opposite of each other. It therefore cannot be said that Nazism is the political extension of conservative/right wing politics. A real extension of right wing politics would look like this:

Mr Carleton’s verdict was made possible by a number of acts and omissions in his report that collectively amount to a violation of standards of both justice and journalism. First, the most minimal right of reply was not conferred on any Israeli official.

Second, Mr Carleton formed the judgement solely on the basis of the testimony of the boy’s father and the Palestinian cameraman who filmed the incident.

Third, the Israeli account of the events, including aerial photographs bearing out the Israeli claim that the boy’s death, if caused at all by an Israeli bullet, arose out of the cross-fire then in progress, was simply ignored. This evidence was publicly available before Mr Carleton’s report was aired. Moreover, Mr Carleton misrepresented the Israeli account of the boy’s death, alleging that Israel claimed he was shot because he was throwing rocks.

Fourth, the nature of Israeli-Palestinian clashes, including those that occurred at Netzarim Junction the day Mohammed al-Durra died, were misrepresented as a case of Israeli guns versus Palestinian stones. Nowhere in the report was there the slightest suggestion that any Palestinian involved in that clash, or indeed any other, had used a gun.

The article continues, and is well worth reading. Unfortunately, it doesn't deal with Carleton's reports filed from Iraq, which were universally anti-American.

ROLL CALL reports: According to a letter sent by Officer Greg Baird, acting chairman of the USCP FOP, the wreck took place at approximately 2:45 a.m. Thursday when Kennedy's car, operating with its running lights turned off, narrowly missed colliding with a Capitol Police cruiser and smashed into a security barricade at First and C streets Southeast.

“The driver exited the vehicle and he was observed to be staggering,” Baird’s letter states. Officers approached the driver, who “declared to them he was a Congressman and was late to a vote. The House had adjourned nearly three hours before this incident. It was Congressman Patrick J. Kennedy from Rhode Island.”

Baird wrote that Capitol Police Patrol Division units, who are trained in driving under the influence cases, were not allowed to perform basic field sobriety tests on the Congressman. Instead, two sergeants, who also responded to the accident, proceeded to confer with the Capitol Police watch commander on duty and then “ordered all of the Patrol Division Units to leave the scene and that they were taking over.”

A source tells the DRUDGE REPORT: It was apparent that the driver was intoxicated (stumbling) and claimed he was in a hurry to make a vote. When it became apparent who it was instead of processing a normal DWI the watch commander had the Patrol units clear the scene and allowed other building officials drive Kennedy home.

One imagines that test would have been whipped out damn fast if it had been a southern Republican at the wheel.

A Kapiti Coast Anglican church has banned a choir group from performing the Muslim call to prayer, in a ruling that has divided choir members.

Church leaders have decided there is no place for the call to prayer, known as The Adhan, in St Paul's Church in Paraparaumu.

But though The Adhan cannot be sung, "in a spirit of generosity and reconciliation" a recording of it will be played in the church foyer to cover the choir's silence.

The 110 members of the combined Kapiti Chorale and Kapiti Chamber Choir are scheduled to perform The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace in the church this weekend.

The composition also includes texts from the Koran and the Hindu Mahabharata, but the church has not asked for them to banned.

Kapiti Anglican Parish's Archdeacon Lyall Perris and his wife, the Rev Sally Perris, put the solution to choir members and the musical director that The Adhan be played outside the main body of the church "out of Christian conviction in a spirit of generosity and reconciliation".

Archdeacon Perris said it had been a difficult issue to resolve.

"For some people the idea that another faith's statement of belief be proclaimed inside a consecrated Christian church building is offensive. Other people hold totally opposite views.

"We could not ignore people coming to us, including choir members, voicing concern that it was contrary to their beliefs that a declaration of Islamic faith should be proclaimed inside our sacred space."

KUALA LUMPUR, April 30 (Bernama) -- Arab journalists here for a media workshop see the need for them to play an active role to dispel Western misconception about Islam.

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) assistant editor Fahad Ebrahim said Muslim media organisations could hold workshops and forums to interact with Western journalists and explain to them that Islam is a moderate religion.

"Journalists can also exchange articles and the mass media can invite guest writers and commentators," he told Bernama.

A total of 25 journalists from 17 Arab countries will attend the five-day workshop-cum-familiarisation visit to Malaysia at the Corus Hotel here starting on Tuesday.

And I'll wager that you naive infidels thought that the UN your tax dollars support wouldn't be a sponsor of this event, didn't you?

It is jointly organised by the Malaysian News Agency (Bernama) and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco).

In a later interview, Myatt supports the killing of any Muslim who breaks his oath of loyalty to Islam, and the setting up of a Muslim superstate.

According to the Project, "Today only members of the species Homo sapiens are considered part of the community of equals. The chimpanzee, the gorilla, and the orangutan are our species's closest relatives. Charlie Sheen's issues

I suppose it's to be expected that if you're the son of a man who pretends to be the president, you're going to turn out a little fucked up.

No, I'm not talking about Charlie's belief in September 11 conspiracies.

I'm talking about his alleged love of gay/kiddie porn:

Richards says in her declaration that during their reconciliation last September, she discovered Sheen was visiting websites with "very young girls, who looked underage to me, with pigtails, braces, no pubic hair, performing oral sex with each other."

Richards also claims in her 17-page declaration that Sheen accessed other websites "…involving gay pornography also involving very young men who also did not look like adults."

The declaration, filled with lurid allegations, was filed by her new lawyer, Neal Hersh. Richards also claims Sheen has problems with gambling and prostitution.

Richards says that Sheen told her that he has a madam.

Richards, who sought a restraining order, claims that Sheen told her after she allegedly discovered the websites, "I hope you f-king die, bitch."

In addition to asking for a restraining order, Richards asked that either Sheen's visitation rights be suspended or monitored.

In the old days, men with a shred of decency who had been caught out in weirdness blew their brains out to spare the family embarrassment.

John Howard - The Postmodernist

Prime Minister John Howard is just as postmodern as the school texts he claims are "rubbish", an expert in postmodern theory says.

Margaret Sankey from the University of Sydney has told smh.com.au that Mr Howard's "moral relativism" marks him as a clearly postmodern character.

"He takes lots of different moral standpoints on different occasions. It would be very hard to work out what his particularly moral unitary approach was, because there are core promises and non-core promises," Professor Sankey said.

"There's a lot of shading and ducking and weaving."

Hmm... certainly on your part, Ms Sankey, at any rate.

When it comes to actually demonstrating a single instance of Howard's undeniable moral relativism (something 99% of leftists claim they never perpetrate, even after having compared Islamic terrorists to American revolutionary war soldiers) Sankey and Welch seem either completely unable or totally unwilling.

Mr Howard is a postmodernist because he has losts of "different moral standpoints"? I've never heard him compare terrorists to anything other than terrorists. Has he compared George Bush to a Nazi? Or Cindy Sheehan to Stalin? Mark Latham to a sane person?

No, Howard has been refreshingly frank in his assessments of people and the ideologies they cling to. His moral compass has never so much as quivered.

In fact, it is clearly his disinclination to enthusiastically endorse the increasing role of postmodernist texts in schools that has led him to be attacked:

Professor Sankey said she didn't understand what Mr Howard meant when he criticised postmodernism in the classroom on ABC Radio in Brisbane earlier today.

He attacked postmodernism? My stars. He must be something of a thickie like his friend Bush!

"I'm at a bit of a loss to understand why he is saying that. I would really think between you, me and the gatepost that he didn't know what he was talking about."

But she said she didn't want to prejudge Mr Howard.

No, that would be cruel. He is only a man, after all. A stupid man who doesn't know what he's talking about.

"I wouldn't like to presume what he knows; maybe he's a covert literary theoretician."

[Insert superior snicker here.]

Postmodernism is simply a theory that suggests there is more than one way of looking at the world, Professor Sankey said.

"There are lots of different ways of thinking and some are more valid than others; but you can't just say that one way of thinking is the only way that you should be thinking."

The word "postmodern" comes from a French academic, Jean-Franois Lyotard, who wrote a 1979 book called La Condition postmoderne: Rapport sur le savoir (The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge).

In the book, Lyotard rejected the definition of absolute truths established under the modernists from the Enlightenment onwards, saying there was no such thing as a single grand narrative.

This part is important, because it reveals the necessary dishonesty that is at the root of postmodernism. If ordinary people knew what postmodernism has wrought upon society, they wouldn't be quite so tolerant. In regard to postmodernism, here is a telling quote from Wikipedia:

Post-colonialism after WW2 contributed to the idea that one cannot have an objectively superior lifestyle or belief. This idea was taken further by the anti-foundationalist philosophers: Heidegger, then Ludwig Wittgenstein, then Derrida, who re-examined the fundamentals of knowledge. They argue that rationality was neither as sure nor as clear as modernists or rationalists assert. Even logic could be biased -- "logocentrism" - the privileging of a system of logic. Psychologists have since gone further in asserting a cognitive bias, which points at a human bias of truth.

The movement has had diverse political ramifications: its anti-ideological ideas appear conducive to, and strongly associated with, the feminist movement, racial equality movements, gay rights movements, most forms of late 20th century anarchism, even the peace movement and various hybrids of these in the current anti-globalization movement. [Postmodernism] is also sometimes used to describe social changes which are held to be antithetical to traditional systems of philosophy, religion, and morality.

There you have it. The neat outline of antisense which has allowed liberals for many decades to laugh in the face of basic common sense... literally. There are even postmodernists so caught up in their world of nonsensical jibberish that they believe reality itself is merely a social construction. Not society, reality.

Basically, postmodernism is the constitution that a bunch of deranged lunatics would arrive at after successfully killing all the Mental Asylum's guards (not that killing the guards mattered, as their existence was only subjective, and really, they were no better than Nazis anyway).

But back to the one particular lunatic who believes that John Howard is a postmodernist:

Professor Sankey said that Mr Howard's comments were unhelpful, and he needed to be more precise in his criticism.

Excuse me? Did this woman not just accuse Howard of postmodernist behaviour... without citing a single instance?

"I think what he's talking about is the plurality of approaches as opposed to one approach, but then the question is: 'Which approach does he think is all right?'"

"Plurality of approaches". I believe that that's what all those lovely postmodernist EU leaders attempted with Iran's uranium issue, instead of the simplistic, philistine, rationalist approaches that might have been used by George Bush. How is that going for them, by the way?

She said it might have something to do with certain ideologies, particularly feminism and Marxism.

"Feminism, Marxism and names like that might be things that get people upset ... I think it's probably an ideological question - that he thinks these students are being subverted in some way."

Can't imagine why they would upset anyone. The latter resulted in the greatest genocides in human history and the former has underpined the fragmentation of the family unit and undermined western birth rates.

And she disagrees that the use of postmodernism in the classroom is dangerous.

"What I think schools are doing [is] to try to teach students ... to distinguish and evaluate all the books that they're reading and look at all the different types of discourse.

"When you're looking at literary texts, you can look at them from different angles. If you're looking at it from a feminist angle, a Marxist angle, a structuralist angle, you're going to get different things out of those texts.

"But the text can support all those readings. It's [about] different ways of reading."

Yes, let's look at some of that postmodernist discourse, shall we? Again, care of Wikipedia:

Postmodernism in language

Important to postmodernism's role in language is the focus on the implied meaning of words and forms the power structures that are accepted as part of the way words are used, from the use of the word "Man" with a capital "M" to refer to the collective humanity, to the default of the word "he" in English as a pronoun for a person of gender unknown to the speaker, or as a casual replacement for the word "one". This, however, is merely the most obvious example of the changing relationship between diction and discourse which postmodernism presents.

An important concept in postmodernism's view of language is the idea of "play" text. In the context of postmodernism, play means changing the framework which connects ideas, and thus allows the troping, or turning, of a metaphor or word from one context to another, or from one frame of reference to another. Since, in postmodern thought, the "text" is a series of "markings" whose meaning is imputed by the reader, and not by the author, this play is the means by which the reader constructs or interprets the text, and the means by which the author gains a presence in the reader's mind. Play then involves invoking words in a manner which undermines their authority, by mocking their assumptions or style, or by layers of misdirection as to the intention of the author. Roland Barthes argued this concept, and coined it 'Death of the Author'; this allows for 'freedom of the reader'. Barthes is well known for having stated, "It is language that speaks, not the author". Another key concept is the view that people are, essentially, blank slated linguistically, and that social acclimation, cultural factors, habituation and images are the primary ways of shaping the structure of how people speak. This view of writing is not without harsh detractors, who regard it as needlessly difficult and obscure, and a violation of the implicit contract of lucidity between author and reader: that an author has something to communicate, and shall choose words which transmit the idea as transparently as possible to the reader. Thus postmodernism in language has often been identified with poor writing and communication skills. The term pomobabble came to be within pop culture to illustrate this trend.

Postmodern philosophers are often regarded as difficult to read, and the critical theory that has sprung up in the wake of postmodernism has often been ridiculed for its stilted syntax and attempts to combine polemical tone and a vast array of new coinages.

John Howard wants to encourage classics in teaching literature because the stories are rational, they impart a clear, unequivocal moral message, and reject the kind of fluffy anti-reason that the foundations of liberal thought is based upon.

Ms Sankey would rather the minds of the young be filled with moral and cultural equivalence, a rejection of the establishment, a rejection of rationalism and a rejection of the very notion of human progress (along with messy syntax, indecipherable narrative and a newly-invented word every sentence).

As I said before, postmodernism's survival depends on necessary dishonesty wherever the public is involved. Case in point; the related SMH poll.

Although you'll notice that I'm a good deal more pessimistic than I was previously.

Unlike most anti-Islamic bloggers, I do not believe it likely that the Islamic advance can be curtailed before a significant portion of Europe has fallen.

That's the same Europe who unfortunately possess ICBMs.

The Europeans won't recognise the problem, not even after they have fled to sanctuaries like Australia and the USA. They'll delude themselves into believing that they didn't flee, and that Europe was always destined to become Islamic. Then they'll go on voting for far left parties until there's a bloody civil war in what remains of the west.

So from now on, most of my posts will be less rousing. I'm not attempting to change people's minds anymore. If you're too fucking ignorant to know when your enemy is sneaking up behind you with a big fucking axe, nothing I can say is gonna save your ass.

From now on, I'm just going to chronicle our descent into darkness.

No doubt you're all familiar with the US Army recruiters who attempted to enter a campus job fair at the University of California (SC) only to be turned back by a mob of 'peaceful' anti-war protestors:

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. — Military recruiters left a campus job fair when about 60 student and faculty anti-war demonstrators showed up outside the event at the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Four recruiters from the Army and Army National Guard left after an hour-long standoff Tuesday at the College 8 West Field House.

“The recruiters thought the crowd was getting out of control,” campus vice chancellor David Kliger said.

“This is about creating a community where we make the change we want to see in the world,” student Sam Aranke said.

One student protester was arrested as the recruiters were departing in a van. While a campus police officer was videotaping a person throwing rocks at the van, a student blocked the camera and was cited for interfering with police duties, campus spokesman Jim Burns.

The student was released pending a decision by the district attorney’s office on whether charges would be filed.

Okay! So a student who blocks a police camera is an offender - fair enough - but what I want to know is this: where are the rights of the US soldiers not to be wrongfully arrested?

That is, after all, what the students did. They unlawfully blocked access to a job fair that the soldiers were lawfully allowed to attend. Insodoing they consciously deprived the soldiers of their basic ability to come and go as they please. They used force to do so. The students weren't acting on behalf of the owners or administrators of UCal, so there can be no talk of military trespass.

The police should have arrested all of the protestors.
